Minsk Institute of Management entered the TOP-100 of the Ranking Web of World Business Schools and economic universities

Ranking Web of World Business Schools is drawn up twice a year along with universities web metrics. In the latest edition dated January 2011 Minsk Institute of Management retained the first place among Belarusian business schools and economic universities. Now the Institute takes the second place among business schools in CIS countries, 7th place – in Eastern Europe, 33rd place on the European continent and the total 56th place in the world.

 According to the ranking criteria following points are taken into consideration.

  • number of pages recovered from the four largest engines: Google, Yahoo, Live Search and Exalead.(size) – 40%;
  • number of external links received by a site (visibility ) – 50%;
  • number of text files in Acrobat format (.pdf) (files) – 5%;
  • number of site resources, indexed by Google Scholar database – 5%.

This is already the third edition of the ranking which includes Minsk Institute of Management. In January 2011, our institute held the 391st place in the world, in July 2011 – 386th place.

In comparison with July 2011 ranking Minsk Institute of Management has increased its position by 330 positions. In addition, according to the indicator, which reflects the number of site publications indexed by Google Scholar database, Minsk Institute of Management takes 2nd place in the world.

According to January ranking world leaders are: Copenhagen Business School (Denmark), Harvard Business School (USA), Université de Montreal Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commerciales (Canada), San Diego State University Aztec Business Alliance (USA), INSEAD Business School (France).

Economic universities and business schools which entered Top-10 among Eastern Europe countries is presented in the table below.

In the neighboring countries following business schools have taken leading position: the already mentioned above, University College of Business – National-Louis University (Poland) - 25th place in the world, University of Finance under the Government of the Russian Federation (Russia) – 49th place in the world, as well as University of Management and Economics ISM (Lithuania) - 117 in the world, Turiba University College of Business (Latvia) - 70th place in the world, the International Institute of Business (Ukraine) – 153rd place in the world.
