Fedor Silenkov, a student from Minsk Institute of Management won a competition announced by UNO

In 2008 United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon announced the campaign UNiTE to End Violence against Women which aims to raise awareness, strengthen political will and increase resources for prevention and elimination of all forms of violence against women and girls in every corner of the world .

From September 21 to October 21, 2011 UNiTE competition for the best T-shirts design took place. Young men aged 18 – 25 took part in the competition. There were representatives from five world regions: Europe, North America, South America, Caribbean States, Asian, Oceanian and African countries. Five representatives from each region have been elected by open vote. Then members of the jury determined the top five winners.

Fedor Silenkov, 4th year student majoring "Design (object-spatial environment)," has become the winner in the European Region.

In UN Headquarters, New York, on November 22, 2011, which is considered to be the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, Fedor will take part in an official event, where he will be awarded the prize for winning the contest.
