Students of the Minsk Institute of Management took part in the VI International Law Competition “Youth for Peace”

Correspondence round of the VI International Law Competition “Youth for Peace” took place from 22 till 29 of April 2011. The organizer of the event in the Republic of Belarus was the International Institute of Labor and Social Relations. The competition was a qualifying round before the final, which will take place on the 17-21 of May 2011 in Minsk.

Law department team from Minsk Institute of Management also took part in the competition. The core team members were students of group 70701c:

Padalinski Sergey (group 70201c), Sharikova Elena (group 70701c), Bartash Ekaterina (group 70701c), Matuzyanik N.P., the head of history and theory of state and law department, and Kozlenko A.V., associate professor of history and theory of state and law department, also took part in the process of preparation for the competition.


According to the results of the correspondence round the team of the Minsk Institute of Management moved on to the next round, which took place on the 14th May, 2011. Altogether 3 teams took part in the intramural round: The Academy of The Ministry of Internal Affairs, Belarusian State University and Minsk Institute of Management. Emeliano Bewes, the judge from the Argentine, noted that student representatives from Minsk Institute of Management showed good preparation and high level of knowledge in English. The team of The Belarusian State University took first place in the qualifying round.


The competition has an international character, and annually representatives from more than 22 countries take part in it. The language of the competition is English. Representatives from all Belarusian institutions of higher education which prepare lawyers of various classifications take part in the qualifying round.
